I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. When I was growing up, my parents had a summer home in Chautauqua, NY. It was in Chautauqua that I developed my passion and respect for the Truth in all religions. As a teenager, I was introduced to "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda. That book ignited my imagination with the possibilities and abilities of the Great Yogis of India. I joined Self Realization Fellowship, and practiced for a period of time. I eventually fell away from the techniques. I wasn't ready for the disciplines that seemed to be required. During my college years, I was introduced to TM. Those techniques gave me some of what I was looking for, but in time they fell away from me as well.  After that, I threw myself into the work world. I was a restaurant manager for several years and then, a real estate broker.

The call to spiritual interests continued. Eventually I bumped into "Ascension" as taught by the Ishaya monks. These techniques have opened my life in many ways and brought much healing, joy and love to my experience. I continue to practice these techniques.
